According to the latest Neilsen/NetRatings figures there were 35,831,432 UK Internet users as of April 2004. This represents 60.6% of the current UK population (which according to gazeteer.de is 59,157,400 in 2004)

- 1.82 million DSL connections
- 1.36 million cable modem connections
- 12% of homes have broadband
- DSL is available to 85% of UK homes and businesses
